Annalyse's First Snow

Annalyse and Bradley (2 of the 6 babies born on our street since August)

Annalyse got to experience her first snow this weekend. She slept the entire time she was outside, but we do have pictures for her. We got around 10 inches at our house. Olivia Grace of course loved playing in the snow. The kids on the street enjoyed our driveway (the only time it is good for anything). Then we headed over to a BIG hill in the neighborhood for some big-time sledding. I think the Daddy's enjoyed it as much as the kiddos. Annalyse and I went but stayed in the truck. It was just good to get out of the house! It has been a great family weekend!!

What a mess!!

She is a mess!!! This picture makes me laugh. Olivia Grace is always doing something funny. This picture was taken at the hospital. I was up out of bed and turned around and found her in bed with her new baby.

Help

We celebrated Mimi's birthday yesterday!
Happy Birthday!

I have been so blessed to have great help since I have been home from the hospital. Mom was here for a week and Brent's mom has been here ever since then (except for the weekend). So needles to say I have been really spoiled. I really haven't had to lift a finger. I have been able to rest, play with OG, and hold Annalyse. Well, reality will hit tomorrow. Mimi is leaving. I am able to drive and am pretty much back to normal. We may be even later to things than usual for a while. But we will make it!!!! Thanks Gigi and Mimi for ALL of your help!!!!!!

Visit from The Flaming's

This past weekend the Flaming's came to visit from Little Rock. They wanted to meet Annalyse and play with Olivia Grace. Olivia Grace and so much fun playing with Anna Caroline and Lauren Elizabeth. Thanks guys for coming to see us!!

Different Looks at the Hospital

Big Sister Olivia Grace

Olivia Grace is such a wonderful big sister!! She has been so excited about Annalyse. She loves to hold her and kiss her. She loves washing her feet when it is bath time!!

Hospital Stay

Great Grandparents

Due to the fact that EVERYTHING happened so quickly, we didn't have any of our parents there at the hospital during the delivery. Sweet Aunt Kristen had a "feeling" she needed to be there so she was the only one there. I was glad she was there for Brent. Brent's parents made it soon after delivery and my Mom made it from Little Rock by the time I was out of recovery.

We were so blessed to have so many friends and family come to check on us during our hospital stay and since we have been home.

Annalyse's Arrival

Daddy and his 2 girls!!

Olivia Grace's first time to hold her Baby Sister!

She has her sister's gap between the toes!

Annalyse Claire Silvey is here!! She arrived this past Wednesday, January 13, 2010. I woke up at 7 am and had a little bleeding and cramping. So Brent called our doctor and she had us come in. Well, if you know me, I needed a shower. You know you want to have clean hair, shaved legs, etc... on the birth of your child. Well, Brent did let me shower quickly but I could not wash my hair. By this time I was beginning to feel even more cramps so I didn't fuss. By the time we got Olivia Grace down to Michelle's we left the neighborhood at 7:50 am. Well, this is when the cramps turned into contractions. The contractions were about every 2 minutes by the time we got to the hospital at 8:20 am. After the first exam I was dilated to a 7. Within just about 5 minutes I was at a 9 and water broke in there sometime. I was in such horrific PAIN!!!! Dr. Hinton came in and said there was no time for an epidural so I had general anesthesia. So I don't remember anything after that. Annalyse was born into the world with not a lot of movement or crying. This was due to the general anesthesia. Fortunately one of Brent's partners was there and he got to her very quickly. She responded very well. During the delivery my uterus ruptured. Fortunately I had a fabulous doctor and she was able to "put me back together again!!" I know God is good!! So Annalyse arrived at 8:48 am. She weighed 8.4 pounds and was 19 3/4 inches long. We have been so blessed with another one of God's greatest gifts.

Annalyse Clarie Silvey

Annalyse has a middle name!! Brent and I have decided on Annalyse Claire.

Well, Annalyse Claire Silvey will be here in less than 4 days. We are still on schedule for Friday morning. My blood pressure continues to go up, so I am taking it "easy" these last few days. I prefer to wait until Friday, but it could be before. Olivia Grace is so excited about her baby sister. She has many questions. She asked the other day if Annalyse would come out my feet. Fortunately for me, I explained that the doctor would cut me open and take her out. She then asked what she would do next. I told her they would sew me up. She then remembered watching her Daddy sew cousin Chandlan's head up. So she could relate just a little. I am beginning to feel sad for OG. She has been my ONLY little girl and things are going to change VERY soon for her. But I know I am giving her the BEST gift I could EVER give her. I am very glad that I have had 4 years and 3 months with just OG. She has taught me so much about life and has blessed me beyond measure. I am super excited to meet Annalyse. Life is about to change again!!!

Due to the COLD weather, Brent has been unable to finish some of the furniture for the nursery. He has built a beautiful book shelf for Annalyse's room. I am so excited about it. Everything won't be completed before Friday, but I don't think Annalyse will mind at all. Many have asked to see pictures, but I will wait until everything is complete. I think it is going to be cute!!!!

4 Years Old

These are a few of Olivia Grace's 4 year old picture from back in October. Yes, I'm just a little late getting them on the blog.
